Jonathan Haidt in the news

Jonathan Haidt, who will be delivering the next EvoS seminar on Sept 28 titled “The New Synthesis in Moral Psychology,” is featured in a Sept 18 New York Times article titled “Is Do Unto Others Written in Our Genes?” and the current edition of Edge.org. In his Edge essay, Haidt criticizes “The New Atheists” (such as Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, Christopher Hitchens and Sam Harris) for falling under the sway of moral emotions at the expense of scientific objectivity. His essay is followed by a number of commentaries, including one by D.S. Wilson.
