Two biology department events tomorrow
This Wednesday, October 13, the Department of Biological Sciences is hosting two events of possible interest to the EvoS community.
First is a Discussion of Jobs and Further Education in Biology, lead by Drs. Barry Zirkin and William Wright of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Both are BU alumni. They will discuss paths to medical school and graduate school as well as careers in academia and industry. Discussion from 1:30-2:30 PM in Science 3 room 204. Pizza and soft drinks served; undergraduates and graduate students both encouraged to attend.
Second is a tag-team departmental seminar titled Stem Cells in the Testis: Self-Renewal and Differentiation, also presented by Drs. Zirkin and Wright. Dr. Zirkin will present Regulation of Stem Spermatogonia in the Normal Mature Testis and Dr. Zirkin will present Origin and Aging of Adult Leydig Cells. These talks will be held from 3:00-4:00 PM in Science 3 room 214.
