Research Programs

Here is a sample of research from an evolutionary perspective that is taking place at BU. See the websites of individual EvoS faculty participants for additional examples. Many of the projects provide research opportunities for EvoS students.

• Evolutionary Religious Studies: This website attempts to establish Evolutionary Religious Studies (ERS) as a new field of scientific inquiry, including a model resarch project on conceptions of the afterlife from an evolutionary perspective. D.S. Wilson directs the project.
  
  
• Binghamton Neighborhood Project: This website describes a general infrastructure for community-based research from an evolutionary perspective, which can faciliate a large number of focused research projects. D.S. Wilson directs the project.
