Binghamton Religion and Spirituality Project
What is religion and why is it such an integral part of human nature? Why are there so many different kinds of religion? What makes some people believers and others non-believers? What is spirituality? Is it possible to be spiritual but not religious, or vice versa? How does an individual’s religiosity or spirituality influence their daily lives?
These questions have been pondered by philosophers, religious sages, and other seekers throughout the ages. The Binghamton Religion and Spirituality Project (BRSP) explores these and other questions by focusing on how religion and spirituality are actually practiced, in all their diversity, in the Binghamton area. We believe that the best way to approach the big questions about religion and spirituality is to understand what they mean to people living their everyday lives.
